Our service is targeted directly at the older community and people with disabilities in County Meath. Over the years of operation there has been a steady increase in demand for the service and the number of jobs completed continues to increase.

Seniors Alert Scheme

Its purpose is to enable older persons to live securely in their homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind by providing them with a personal monitored alarm (wristband / Pendant). The alarm can be worn as a pendant or around the wrist like a watch. When pressed it connects wirelessly to a base unit, usually attached to a phone. The base unit immediately sends a call to a 24 hour monitoring centre.

You are eligible to apply for a monitored alarm through the Seniors Alert Scheme if you are:
Aged 65 years or over
Living alone or living with another person who meets the eligibility criteria
Living alone or alone for significant periods during the day.

The equipment and monitoring is free for the first year – It is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and administered by Pobal. However there is a nominal service charge for 24/7 monitoring which you may be asked to pay for the following year(s) The Seniors Alerts Scheme gives peace of mind to older people. They know that if they have a fall or need help with anything, or are lonely, that assistance is just a press of a button away. Apply Now by contacting 046 94 37282
